About the job
Hulamin is looking for Area Managers to lead operational areas in a demanding 24/7 manufacturing environment, with responsibility for production, safety, quality, costs, people and continuous improvement.

Main responsibilities
- Lead production output and process performance.
- Plan and coordinate production activities.
- Manage quality, speed and cost performance.
- Maintain safety, health and environmental standards.
- Lead, coach and develop employees.
- Manage budgets and operating costs.
- Drive continuous improvement and special projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, NQF Level 7, in Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- 10 years’ operational management experience in continuous manufacturing, heavy industry or a technically complex environment.
- Experience managing production, quality, cost, safety, people and continuous improvement.

Advantageous
Postgraduate Engineering, Operations or Business qualification; MBA; continuous/shift production experience; unionised-environment experience; Lean, TPM, Six Sigma or Visual Management knowledge.

Important
The position operates 24/7/365 and may require rotating shifts, nights, weekends, public holidays and callouts.
