About the role
Econo Foods is looking for a Warehouse Operator responsible for loose-case and layer picking, packing and counting products accurately while following warehouse and safety procedures.
Key responsibilities
• Pick products accurately according to picking instructions.
• Pack and label products securely and correctly.
• Maintain pallet stability during picking and transportation.
• Count and verify picked products.
• Report out-of-stock and short-picked items.
• Use picking equipment to locate products efficiently.
• Report stock discrepancies, damaged goods and incorrect labelling.
• Keep the work area clean and organised.
• Follow SOPs and work instructions.
• Participate in training.
• Follow safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Support the team in achieving operational goals.
Requirements
• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• 1–3 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in FMCG Retail.
• Valid Electric Pallet Jack Licence.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented and reliable.
