About the job
National Chicks, part of the Astral Group, is looking for two Nightshift Supervisors to help keep quality, hygiene, biosecurity and operational standards high on its broiler farms. The role involves overseeing assigned activities, managing staff and resources, and making sure production, safety and quality standards are maintained.
What the role involves
• Planning, organising, leading and controlling assigned duties to meet production standards.
• Handling labour-related matters and supporting staff performance.
• Maintaining product quality, hygiene and biosecurity standards.
• Managing resources effectively.
• Applying the 20 Keys principles, along with risk and safety requirements.
What you will need
• Grade 12 / Matric.
• At least 3 years' broiler experience.
• Strong people and staff-management skills.
• Good administrative and document-control skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and performance driven.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• A commitment to quality, hygiene, biosecurity and continuous improvement.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Willing to work irregular hours, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
