About the opportunity
Evergreens The Fresh Market is seeking a Receiving / Dispatch Clerk to help manage incoming stock, verify deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records at its Kempton Park store.
The successful candidate will check deliveries against purchase orders and invoices, identify stock discrepancies and help ensure supplier returns are processed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
• Match purchase orders with supplier invoices and verify that delivered stock is correct.
• Identify discrepancies and consult the relevant buyer about whether affected stock should be accepted or rejected.
• Use Arch Mobile Scanners to check barcodes and confirm that deliveries match the stock ordered.
• Prepare supplier returns and ensure the correct quantities are returned on time.
• Assist with housekeeping in the receiving department and prepare returns for upcoming deliveries.
• Operate relevant materials-handling equipment when required, subject to the employer's requirements.
Minimum Requirements
• Matric (NSC pass).
• FMCG and fresh produce experience, or training in receiving these types of goods.
• Clear criminal record.
• No drug use, as stated in the employer's requirements.
• A BT and/or forklift licence is preferred.
